Signaller Merit Badge -- Listening / Receiving Game

Practice your listening and receiving skills. Choose the signaller (sound, semaphore, etc), the types of messages (alphabet letters, sentences or long stories) and how fast you want them. Push start to begin receiving the message. Check out the main page for morse code resources and decoding sheets. Wig wag is morse code where a dot is shown with the flag on the left and a dash is the flag on the right. Use this other game to practice sending Sorry, this no longer works. The computer will produce different kinds of messages. The alphabet and random letters are good for practicing. Random messages contain famous quotations. Made-up stories are silly stories made up randomly by the computer. These stories have at least 35 words.

The speed is how many letters per minute the message is run at.

After you have tried to translate the message, press "Show Message" to see what the real answer is.
